PQS International grew out of PQS Group, the Spanish professional services firm that Javier Piqueras built after leaving PwC, serving Spanish and international clients from A Coruña and Madrid.

Jacques Straathof met Javier in 2018, as a client: an international CFO looking for a stable, affordable accounting team. The first Dutch outsourcing contract started in 2021, and it worked so well that the client became a partner. In 2024 they founded PQS International together.

Today the group serves more than 50 clients, fifteen of which run their finance function through a dedicated PQS team. We chose Galicia deliberately: strong universities, deep loyalty to employers, and a cost level that lets us pay well and still charge less than a Dutch in-house team costs.
